Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 29 July 2026
This page explains, in plain language, how cancelling a NoteDM subscription works and when a refund is (and isn’t) available. It applies alongside our Terms & Conditions.
In short
- • Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep access through the period you’ve already paid for.
- • Payments already charged are generally non-refundable, including for unused time.
- • Duplicate charges or a genuine billing error are always reviewed and corrected.
- • The one-time 7-day trial has zero risk if you cancel before it converts — nothing is charged until then.
- • To cancel or request a refund, email support@notedm.com from your account’s email address.
1. How to cancel
NoteDM doesn’t yet have a self-serve “Cancel” button in the app — to cancel a Pro, Max, or Enterprise subscription, email support@notedm.com from the email address on your account, or call +91 7020509435. We aim to confirm cancellations within 2 business days. Once cancelled, your subscription won’t renew again — you keep full access through the end of the period you’ve already paid for (monthly or annual, whichever you’re on), and the plan then reverts to Free (if your connected account still qualifies) or none.
2. Refunds on subscriptions
- General rule: once a billing period has been charged, that charge is non-refundable — including if you cancel partway through a month or a year, or simply don’t use the service during that period.
- Billing errors: if you were charged twice for the same period, charged after a cancellation we should have processed, or charged the wrong amount, tell us and we’ll refund the difference once we confirm the error.
- Service failure: if a technical fault on our side stopped your account from being usable for a meaningful part of a billing period, contact us — we review these individually and may issue a partial refund or service credit at our discretion.
- Change of mind: isn’t grounds for a refund on a period already charged — cancel before the next renewal instead to avoid being charged again.
The small “authentication” charge at checkout
When you subscribe, Razorpay (our payment processor) may run a small validation charge — a token amount shown at checkout as “refundable” — to confirm your card before turning on the recurring mandate. This is separate from your plan price and is automatically refunded by Razorpay/your bank within a few days; it’s not an additional fee we charge.
The one-time 7-day trial
Starting the trial sets up a subscription with the first charge deferred 7 days — you’re not charged anything until then. If you email us to cancel before the 7 days are up, the deferred charge never happens and there’s nothing to refund. If it does convert and charge, that charge follows the same rules as any other subscription payment above.
3. Refunds on the reel-reward payment
The one-time reel-tag reward (3 months of Pro, paid upfront) is a single purchase, not a recurring charge — it’s non-refundable once paid, except for a duplicate charge or a payment that Razorpay shows as failed but was still deducted from your account, which we’ll correct once verified.
4. How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are issued back to the original payment method through Razorpay. Once we approve a refund, it typically takes 5–10 business days to reflect in your account, depending on your bank or card issuer — this part is outside our control.
5. How to request a cancellation or refund
Email support@notedm.com with the email address on your account and, if it’s about a specific charge, the approximate date and amount. We’ll confirm what we can do within 2 business days.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — significant changes will be posted here or emailed to you. Continuing to use NoteDM after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
